CWM is a well established company serving Quesnel and Surrounding areas for over 40 Years! (Recently retired) Our former owner Dave Tolhurst gained many years of experience as a Gas fitter & Pipefitter at Alcan in Kitimat and later at Cariboo Pulp and Paper in Quesnel BC.
In 1981 Dave decided to go out on his own and purchased “Quesnel Oil Burner Services.” He operated by himself with one service truck.
With natural gas expanding its coverage to customers in the North Cariboo region the little business began to grow. Soon Dave had a fleet of trucks and an amazing crew. A few years later the name changed to “Quesnel Oil & Gas Ltd.” Also offering more services including plumbing, fabricating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
In the year 2000 the names was changed to Canadian Western Mechanical (CWM) to more accurately reflect the services the company was offering at the time.
Today CWM is a thriving family business. Dave has since retired and the company is now being operated by his son Darryl. Darryl’s son Justin and his nephew Joel are part of the amazing staff that continues to serve the needs of the Quesnel and surrounding areas.
Darryl continues to grow the industrial and commercial services throughout Western Canada, with a specialty in Water treatment, Civil work, Crane services and welding fabrication.
CWM is ready to tackle any job! With a fully trained staff that includes certified gasfitters, plumbers, installers, welders and operators. Welding, pipe-fitting, digging, hoisting, sheet metal fabrication, gas line connections, refrigeration, or plumbing; Canadian Western Mechanical has the professionals in place to get the job done right and on budget!
